WHO WE ARE
Drake Broadcasting System is Drake University‘s student-run broadcasting organization, providing School of Journalism and Mass Communication students with relevant broadcasting opportunities that prepare them to excel both at Drake and beyond. Our goal is to be a resource for students to get hands-on with all the exciting aspects of video and audio production, all while creating meaningful content that bridges the gap between campus and the community.
Noah Manderfeld, President
Noah is a Junior Broadcast News major. His passion is sports and he loves sharing it with others. His dream job is to become a sports radio announcer, something he is already doing at Drake.
Lucius Pham, Program Director
My name is Luc Pham and I am the new Program Director for 94.1 “The Dog.” You all probably remember Gerry Tetzlaff, the Program Director for the past three years. Well, Gerry is on sabbatical, and by sabbatical, I mean he graduated, so you’re all stuck with me now.
The 2018-19 DBS kickoff meeting will be held next Wednesday, September 12th at 7 p.m. At this meeting, we will be signing up for weekly time slots so it’d be smart to show up with some times in mind.
Now, you’re probably asking yourself, “Well that’s all well and good, Luc, but where will this meeting be held?” And the answer to that question is simple:
we haven’t exactly decided yet. But keep your eyes and ears peeled because we’ll probably figure it out soon.
Thank you so much for your time, and if you have any questions about “The Dog” or DBS in general, please hit me up.
